PRESENTATION: Cap 500 mg x 1 x l2's. Syrup 250 mg/5 mL x 60 ml. lnj 300 mg/mL x 1 mL, 2 mL.
ACTIONS: Microbiology: Lincomycin is bacteriostatic or bactericidal depending on its concentration and sensitivity of the organism. lt is active against Streptococcus pyogenes, S. Pneumoniae, S. viridans, Staphylococcus aureus, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Bacillus anthracis and some Clostridia spp. However, Neisseria gonorrhoea, N. meningitidis and Haemophilus influenzae are sensitive to erythromycin but relatively resistant to lincomycin and the mycoplasmas, apart from Mycoplasma hominis are less sensitive. The minimum inhibitory concentrations of lincomycin have been reported to range from 0.02-3.1 mcg/ml for many strains of S. pyogenes, S. pneumoniae and S. aureus.
Pharmacokinetics: About 20-35% of an oral dose of lincomycin is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and following a 500-mg dose, peak plasma concentrations of 1-6 mcg/ml are reached within 2-4 hrs. lt diffuses across the placenta ...

Ophth-Chlor (Sterile Ophthalmic Solution)

(Chloramphenicol 0.5 %)
PRESENTATION : 15ml Sterile Ophthalmic Solution in plastic ophthalmic drops container.
COMPOSITION : Each ml of Ophth-Chlor Sterile ophthalmic Solution contains Active: Chloramphenicol 5mg; with Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, Perservative: Thiomersal, Inactives: boric acid and/or sodium borate to adjust pH and purified water.
INDICATIONS AND USAGE : For the treatment of superifcial ocular infections involving the conjunctiva and/or cornea caused by chloramphenicol-susceptible organisms.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION : One or two drops 4 to 6 times a day for the first 72 hours, depending upon the severity of the condition. Intervals between applications may be increased after the first two days. Since the action of the drug is primarily bacteriostatic, therapy should be continued for 48 hours after an apparent cure has been attained.

PRESENTATION : K-Kort is supplied in a glass vial as 1ml which contains 40mg of triamcinolone acetoride in a sterile aqueous suspension.
DESCRIPTION : K-KORT is a synthetic glucocorticoid corticosteroid with marked anti-inflammatory action.
This formulation is suitable for intramuscular and intra-articular use only. This formulation is not for intradermal injection. Each ml of K-Kort injection contains Active: Triamcinolone Acetonide 40mg/ml; Inactives: Sodium chloride, Tween 80, Carboxymethylcellulose, Benzyl alcohol and water for injection. If required adjust pH with Sodium hydroxide/Hydrochloric acid.
